Orientation and Inaugural Program on Learn to Lead with ANYV
Asian network of youth volunteers (ANYV) Society is a registered international organisation focusing on youth development and many more by ensuring a secular and non-discriminating platform. In this purpose ANYV initiated a free e-learning platform “Learn to Lead with ANYV” to help lots of youths from ASIA and out of this continent. The good news is 3502 people of 11 different courses from 17 countries engaged themselves with this non-academic free course of “Lear to Lead with ANYV”. To utilize their time ANYV is providing completely free online courses so that they can build their life in this pandemic and post-pandemic.
The Orientation and Inaugural Program on “Learn to Lead with ANYV” was premiered live on Facebook worldwide on 08 June 2020 at Bangladesh time 7.30 pm (GMT+6). MR. MD. SHAHRIAR ALAM, M.P, Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was the chief guest in the program. The program was chaired by PROF. MD ROSHIDUL HASAN, President, Asian Network of Youth Volunteers Society. The special guests were from three different countries: PROF DR. MUNAZ AHMED NOOR, Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh, PROF DR. ABDUL RASHID B. MOHAMED SHARIFF, University Putra Malaysia, SONIA BASHIR KABIR, Founding Chairperson SBK Foundation, Bangladesh, PROF DR MAMUN-OR RASHID, Professor, Dhaka University, Bangladesh, PROF DR SERAFIN ARVIOLA, Philippines Normal University, Philippines, PROF DR KAMRUZZAMAN, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural, Sheikh Faridul Islam Kanon, General Secretary, ANYVS. This special program inaugurated by very energetic, intelligent panel who are Youth icons in respective fields in their own countries even in the universe, was viewed by more than 5500 audiences globally.
The program was hosted by Nobonita Chakravarty, Education Secretary of ANYV. After introducing all Honorable guests, she requested the Hon’ble President of ANYV, Prof. Md. Roshidul Hasan for presenting the short brief on the reason “Learn to Lead with ANYV” started its journey.
Mr. President described, “during this pandemic, we are contributing to the society with our best possible initiatives like always we do. As we know, more than 1 billion youth are having their daily life disrupted by the spread of COVID-19. Students, teachers, families, and every youth stuck in this uncertainty. They become bores, hopeless, exhausted, depressed, and unstable and hesitate to take any decision. Bearing all these into consideration, the Asian Network of Youth Volunteers (ANYV) Society has determined to stand beside them with knowledge and intelligence. The “ANYV online training” initiative is fully free with non-academic courses and offering diversified courses from health to tech to research etc. We are expecting the following benefits;
- Everyone can utilize their best quarantine time in the most effective way.
- Make a wide network of networks so that they would never feel the isolation.
- Prepare themselves to earn and build their new career by receiving training, counseling, certificate and proper follow-up
- The engagement in ANYV online courses, release them from depression, and boost them up to start their life again.
- ANYV is providing an international platform of online learning to share the best knowledge with all communities.
Then he requested Hon’ble Special Guest PROF DR. MUNAZ AHMED NOOR, Vice-Chancellor, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University to discuss what are the obstacles and how to overcome the issues of online classes as he started this online learning in his university from the very first day of pandemic. He said, “The initiative taken by ANYV is very timely and amazing. He focused on mental health of people of all ages. He shared his concern that everybody should learn leadership, it’s not necessary to be leader always but, the knowledge is a must learn thing for everybody.
Hon’ble Special Guest Prof. Dr. Abdul Rashid B. Mohamed Shariff from the University of Putra Malaysia explained online education system especially how the online education should be and the ways of overcoming online education system. He added more that there are some challenges in online learning and raised tree issues, those are lack of conversation, examination system and role of the students.
Another Hon’ble Special Guest Prof Dr. Mamun-Or Rashid from Dhaka University, Bangladesh shared experience of online education, its drawbacks and technical issues focusing on objectives. He added more on research and education network of Bangladesh. He said that virtual education is actually replaced with physical education in this pandemic and it’s a high time we focused on existing online education policies.
Before giving the floor to another special guest President Md. Roshidul Hasan shared the old memories of how Asian Network of Youth Volunteers Society was born and started walking. The main purpose was to connect the Asian youths to build a secular and non-discriminating world.
Hon’ble Special Guest Prof Dr. Serafin Arviola from the Philippines Normal University was in the very early time of ANYV and he expressed his feelings before all. He focused on how the knowledge of global citizenship can work to empower the youth of Asia and how voluntary learning can shape them to a better version of themselves which will lead to make this world an excellent place.
All instructors from different countries shared the overall experience and expected outcomes of conducting the courses.
Pindarica Malyrojsiri, Course instructor from Thailand, going to teach ‘Life Skills on gender education’ and will share knowledge on how to protect themselves from sexual abuse and violence. She also wants to teach how to show respect to opposite gender.
Dipika Roy Prapti, Cultural Secretary of ANYV and Course instructor of Basic Yoga, with more than four years of experience in learning and teaching yoga said regular practice of yoga can help relieving stress, improve immunity system and maintain a healthier lifestyle which is very important in this pandemic situation
Robotics has a significant impact on the development of humanity in the near future. That’s why ANYV has arranged a course named “Introduction to Robotics”. The course instructor Hasib-Al-Ahmed operates this course in association with Cybernetics Robo Academy. He would like to teach the basic knowledge of robotics, the operating system of robotics and introduce some familiar sensor and devices. He would also like to teach a little bit of electronics and programming.
Another course instructor Mst. Sultana Razia conducts “Emotional Intelligence” course. She believes knowledge on emotional intelligence can raise their mental awareness of the new generation to get rid of a family crisis, professional crisis and anxiety in this pandemic situation.
Course instructor of Basic Freelancing Guidelines, Md Mahmudul Haque shared his personal experience, the basic ideas of freelancing and its current market place. He mentioned that many people have no idea about passive earning.
Another course instructor Suhiya Islam Sristy is going to teach how to deliver a nice presentation confidently. She shared her own experience and made tutorials for students to improve their presentation skill. This will be also helpful to get release from anxiety during presentation.
Mala Bhowmik will teach her students how to develop English writing skill and write a complete CV. She said that CV writing is a crucial part for youth to explore their future prospect. A complete good CV aims to impress recruiters in job sector. Writing skill in English is important not only for youth but also for everyone. She wants to guide how to connect, organize and generalize grammar and vocabulary frequently to explore a smart writing.
Last but not the least, ANYV is trying to help people be productive in these tough times through many other activities. ANYV will announce a photography contest very soon. The green volunteers will also be published in July 2020. The main objective is to engage the youth with activities so they do not get bored. The initiative will launch for its second batch in September 2020. ANYV believes that this pandemic will end soon and requested everyone to stay safe stay healthy and be with ANYV.
Finally, Hon’ble Special Guest Sheikh Faridul Islam Kanon, General Secretary of ANYVS shared the activity of ANYV Society. ANYV involved and successfully completed different national and international projects, Among them Energy Efficiency and Conservation Business Coalition funded by JICA, Bangladesh Digital Summit 2019, Rajbangshi Summit 2019, School Program, and Bangladesh Economy Survey 2019 Funded by China, are remarkable. And he also discussed the program taken by anyvs during the pandemic.
At last, the program came to an end with the answering questions by hon’ble panelists from mass.
